There is lots to do while you wait to board the ferry. The town provides a number of places where you can sample spectacular local seafood and the surrounding beaches provide the perfect place to relax and escape the backpacker trail or get stuck into some snorkelling in the crystalline Thai water. It’s not just stunning coastline for you to experience as Khao Pang Forest Park and Mo Ku Chumphon National Park provide beautiful forests, rivers and incredible mountain vistas.

Chumphon has strong transport links, especially with the nation’s capital, Bangkok. By road it’s a lengthy six hour drive but on quick motorway linked roads for the duration of the four hundred and sixty kilometre journey.
