SpeedFerries operated the low cost Dover Boulogne ferry service until 2008 when the closed.
From its conception in 2004, SpeedFerries operated a year round, low cost, car ferry service between Dover and Boulogne with their vessel Speed One, carrying up to 200 cars and 800 passengers. The crossing operated around 10 times daily with duration of a round 50 minutes.
The cross channel strait is one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes and therefore there are numerous alternatives on offer to Dunkirk and Calais as well as the Eurotunnel train.
