Where can I get a Ferry to the Bahamas?

There are presently two ferry options to take you to the Bahamas, both of which sail from Florida, US, and land at different ports within the Bahamas. You can get a ferry from Miami to the Bimini Islands, or from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport Island, both of which are north to the main island of the Bahamas, Andros Island, with each ferry running 6 times a week.

Due to the close proximity of Florida to the Bahamas, both ferries are a fast and cheap way to visit the stunning Bahamas, with the ferry to Bimini only taking two hours, and the ferry to Freeport only lasting two and a half hours, however these sailing durations may change due to weather conditions, so be sure to check before you travel.

Due to the differing routes, and the seasonal changes, prices for these routes greatly vary, so use our fare finder tool now to find the best prices and routes for your trip to the Bahamas.
